Accessible Websites and Guidelines for Web Content Accessibility
Accessible Websites and web accessibility guidelines
Small businesses fighting in courts is a sad state. We are determined to help the universal right of everyone to have access to information and technology. We are here for everyone. We believe the digital accessibility movement is at a tipping point. All developers will soon need to know how to create accessible products.
Web content accessibility, assistive technologies
Your website must be compatible with a range of assistive technology tools in order to meet ADA compliance. Our accessibility experts will help you remove obstacles and update your website so that assistive technologies can interact with your content. This will make your website accessible according to WCAG guidelines. Our goal is accessibility for all businesses. To give disabled customers full access, you don’t need to be a programmer or designer. We will make your website more accessible and help you navigate the modern internet.
What is the ADA and why do you need your website to be accessible?
The Americans with Disabilities Act is a landmark legislation that prohibits discrimination in the treatment of persons with disabilities. It aims at promoting equality in all spheres of public life. Internet is included in this legislation since websites must be accessible to the large percentage of people with disabilities. Nearly 20% are disabled in the United States. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 51 Million Americans 15 years and older have a disability. 19.9 Million have difficulty lifting or grasping which can affect their use of a mouse, keyboard, or other devices. 8.1 million are visually impaired. Some people rely on screen readers and screen magnifiers. Some are color blind. According to the Census Bureau, 7.6 million people are hearing impaired. They may rely on captions or transcripts for audio and/or video media. Accessible digital content can help your company reach more customers, improve customer satisfaction, and give you a competitive advantage over companies that don’t offer accessibility features. We can help you become more accessible.
What is the Americans with Disabilities Act, (ADA)?
The Code of Regulations was made law by the United States in 1990 by President George H. W. Bush. The ADA is the result of years of hard work by the disability civil rights community. Its legal structure can be traced back to Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act, which prohibits discrimination against federal recipients with disabilities.
What information do you need about ADA compliance?
The law clearly references principles of accessibility. It does not contain narrow guidelines, even though the language specifies physical spaces. This is why digital accessibility-related lawsuits have been surging in recent years, alongside claims settled privately. Federal courts have been favorable to an inclusive interpretation of the ADA. This puts businesses and organizations that own web assets at risk. The Title III Regulation, revised on January 17, 2017, made it clear that the law applies also to the Web. ADA compliance means that public and private businesses must make their websites accessible to disabled persons. This is known as accessibility on websites.
Making the Internet accessible to all people, regardless of their ability
Although “The Department did not issue proposed regulations… and therefore is unable” to issue specific regulatory language regarding Web site accessibility at present, recent developments suggest that companies should be proactive in protecting themselves against lawsuits and aiming for full ADA compliance. With 10,982 ADA Title III lawsuits filed in federal court in 2020, suit claims have increased exponentially. According to a Seyfarth report, the trend continued to increase in early 2021. As more companies discovered that the ADA did not specify web accessibility standards, courts ruled that they had to provide accessibility for the disabled. They often referred to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which is the conforming standard of ADA compliance.

Your Business Needs These Accessibility Solutions:
Text reader feature
The text reader is a widget that allows users to read a text without difficulty. It also helps people with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and those who have trouble reading. Text readers allow users to control their reading flow with the keyboard or mouse. The widget’s sound pitch and reading speed can be adjusted by the user.
Keyboard Navigation
Many people with motor disabilities have trouble using keyboard navigation. Many blind and visually impaired people use keyboard navigation. The keyboard navigation function conforms to WCAG 2.0 requirements and is fully accessible. Users can navigate through pages with the keyboard alone.
Blinks blocker
This tool is an essential element of website accessibility design. It protects users who are vulnerable to seizures due to flashing, flickering, and strobing effects. The Blinks blocking tool removes graphics, news tickers or marquees, galleries, or auto-play animations that may distract from the user or cause a photo epileptic seizure.
Background Editor
This tool is in compliance with WCAG 2.0 guidelines and offers three different contrast display options. They allow users with visual impairments to modify the background and text so they can read the content more clearly.
Image Descriptions
Graphics and images make it easier to understand the content around them. The WCAG 2.0 stipulates that any non-text content should include a text alternative that provides the equivalent meaning of the image. To ensure that users understand the intent or meaning of an image, the image description tool must follow section 1.4.5. You can also use header highlighters and links to enhance the usability of low-vision users.
Font Editor
This tool allows users with low vision impairments to adjust the font size or choose a simple, easy-to-read font.
WCAG2.0 level “Triple A” solution
This suite of accessibility tools meets the WCAG2.0 specified conformance level.
